Don't you wish your child had
a role model?
Now they do 🎉
Over the last few months we’ve realised that ‘online’ is no match for ‘in-person’, and that LOLs just can’t compare with real laughs out loud. We recognize the need for connection during the COVID Era. That's why this program was created for students in grades 6-10. 'Wheels of Change' is here to connect students to trusted, certified, and committed youth. Our program matches trained mentors with student mentees to provide them guidance, support, and encouragement in growing up as American Muslim Youth.

Meet The Mentors ✨
Malik Ben Nasr
I'm currently a sophomore in college, and having been funneled through the public education system, I know what it's like growing up as a Muslim American. I attribute much of my success to the multiple positive influences and guidance of others in the community, and would like to offer my experiences and knowledge to help the next generation grow into strong willed and empowered Muslim American Youth.
Hajar Ahmed
Salam! My name is Hajar Ahmed and I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Houston. Having positive influences in life that are both reliable and supportive is so important, and I hope to be that for our youth. I am looking forward to taking part in this incredible initiative and establishing meaningful relationships with the mentees, as well as leaving a lasting impact InshAllah!
Zayd Latheef
Each mistake teaches you something new about yourself. It is the courage to continue that counts. As a sophomore at UH Honors College, majoring in Supply Chain Management, I have learned a great deal about the college experience through my own mistakes. As a mentor for our youth, I hope to be a guide them and create a fun, exciting, and memorable time!
Yusuf Khan
Assalamualakum, I’m currently a Junior in High School as well as an Eagle Scout from Troop 713. I’m excited to help the next generation build lasting bonds that I’ve seen firsthand create the leaders of our communities. Insha'Allah I look forward to working together with you to create a productive space for our youth to grow and flourish!
Hajer Genina
I'm a junior at Shadow Creek High and I aspire to prepare your daughter for the future. As Roosevelt said, “we cannot always prepare the future for our youth, but we can prepare our youth for the future." I want to inspire your daughter to overcome all the fails, obstacles, and struggles so we can ensure that she has a future full of success.
Fatimah Khan
Assalamualakum! I am a pre-med student majoring in Biochemistry at the University of Houston. Aside from that, I enjoy teaching, drawing, doing outdoor activities, and meeting new people. I am very excited to be a mentor for the MCC Youth Program and build lasting relationships with my mentees.
Ahmad Mohamad
Ahmad is a Mechanical Engineering Technology graduate from UH. He is a long time Quran teacher and youth mentor in the Southeast Houston community. His vision is to create a process to engineer today's wandering young man into the socioeconomic and spiritual POWERHOUSE of tomorrow.
Kazim Gazi
I look forward to working with my younger peers. I am currently a freshman at Texas A&M and from experience, I can say that it is essential to have a close circle of fellow Muslims. IA, this program will help us benefit one another and create a strong connection that will serve us in the future.
Ibrahim Islam
I am a Clear Brook High senior raised in SE Houston. I know that the pressures for American Muslim youth are real and I am excited to help mentees navigate those pressures to become the best versions of themselves. I cannot wait to develop relationships with the future leaders of the Ummah

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we have been waiting for. If our youth arise and act, they have the strength and dynamism to generate a huge transformation in society. We are the change that we wish to see in this world.
Sumayyah Khan
I am a freshman in college. I joined this organization in hopes of expanding my capabilities when it comes to helping other people, as well as learning a couple of things about myself along the way!
